In the future, it will be even easier to install Kahrs wood floors. This is the outcome of an agreement to continue to co-operate between Kahrs and Valinge Innovation in the development of the glue-less joint Woodloc®. The new, improved joint will be launched in the beginning of 2010.
Kahrs was the first floor manufacturer to offer floors with glue-less joints, which revolutionised the wood floor market in 1999. Woodloc® simplifies installation and ensures that there are no gaps between the boards, even if the floor is exposed to climate changes. The floor remains easy to maintain throughout its life cycle.
Now Kahrs is developing a new generation of the Woodloc®-joint in co-operation with Valinge Innovation.
"We are pleased to be able to continue the successful co-operation with Valinge Innovation, which started as early as 1999", says Per Skarner, CEO of Nybron Flooring International / Kahrs. "The new Woodloc®-joint means that our floors will be even easier to install as the short ends of the boards are connected vertically, instead of like before, at an angle. The new joint is made out of wood only, which has been an important basis of Kahrs decision in order to further enhance our environmental profile. At the same time, the high quality of the joint and the advantages this give our floors when it comes to stability throughout the life of the floor is maintained", he continues.
Kahrs wood floor with the new Woodloc®-system 5G-S will be launched from the beginning of 2010.
